Armin Nassehi
"Causality is not the principle of the world, but only a principle of order,
a simplified representation of a more complex reality.."
- Armin Nassehi (2017)
Armin Nassehi (* 1960) follows Luhmann and develops his sociological system theory into a practical theory. He has also studied the ethics of public decisions, the process of digitalization, and the function and form of protest (and the logic of increase). According to Nassehi, protest can both sustain democracy and it can hinder democracy.
Below you can see a fragment of one of Nassehi's talks about complexity (courtesy of Bildungsdesign) The lecture was called "Die sieben Paradoxien moderner Gesellschaften", and was delivered at the Paradox Conference Stuttgart 2017.
