Ulrich Brinkmann (* 1967) studied political science, economics and English and worked at the Research Institute for Work, Education, Participation at the Ruhr University Bochum, at the chair of work, industrial and economic sociology at the University of Jena, at the University of Trier as a university professor for economic sociology and at the TU Darmstadt, as a professor of sociology with a focus on organizational and work sociology.
