Diana Lengersdorf

Diana Lengersdorf is a Professor of Gender Sociology at the Faculty of Sociology at Bielefeld University. She serves on the board of the Interdisciplinary Center for Gender Studies (IZG), the graduate research group "Gender as Experience," and the collaborative research project "InChangE" at Bielefeld and Münster Universities. Additionally, she is a member of the Faculty Conference and Research Commission, chairs the Faculty of Sociology’s Doctoral Committee, and acts as Deputy Senator at Bielefeld University.

Academic Background and Career
Diana Lengersdorf studied Sociology, Psychology, and Economics at RWTH Aachen University. After working in the private sector, she transitioned to academia, holding positions at the Gender Research College of the University of Duisburg-Essen and later at the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Sociology at TU Dortmund. Her doctoral research, an ethnographic study of social practices in an internet agency, earned her a Ph.D. in 2011.

In 2013, she accepted a Junior Professorship for Gender, Technology, and Organization at the University of Cologne, where she was awarded the Leo Spitzer Young Researcher Prize in 2017 for her outstanding contributions.
